Dan Moldea: Right Wing prepared to attack Bill Clinton anew!

Dan Moldea, the best-selling investigative reporter who stopped the coup attempt against Bill Clinton by exposing Republican chicanery (in partnership with Larry Flynt), says that he is coming out of "retirement" to fight a new threat from the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

Here's what's going on, excerpted from an interview with Newhouse News:

A few months ago, Moldea says, he learned from an "impeccable'' source that "an unnamed group of former intelligence officers have done an opposition research campaign against Bill Clinton, which is tantamount to a smear campaign, which concentrates on his activities since he left the White House. This is coming out, and that's when I said, 'We've got to get back to work.'''

"Who knows when they are going to pull the trigger on this, but we're going to unleash hell when that happens,'' he says.

And so Moldea has teamed up with the D.C. Madam Ms. Palfrey to write an expose book, to fight back, now. It was Moldea who found Congressman Vitter's telephone number in the Madam's records. There will be more.

Moldea says in the interview with Newhouse News that "I'd sell apples on a street corner to go after these guys...That's the thing, I've started to view right-wing Republicans as the new organized crime."

11. One MAIN Reason I Don't Think She Should Be The Nominee!

I said this a very very long time ago. They're going to pull out ALL THE STOPS if she gets the nod! I don't understand why the Clinton supporters can't see this.

Add the fact that just TWO families are in the WH for almost 30 years puts sprinkles on top! Of course, these aren't the only reasons I'm not a Clinton supporter, but I don't like going the "negative" route when it comes to our candidates.

I truly believe the Repukes WANT Clinton to be the nominee, and I understand why... I STILL get email from people about BILL! It's stupid, but it just never stops no matter what I say. I ignore it now and just delete it.

The difference that matters is whether the candidate will fight back right away or try to duck. Fortunately, all of our current Democratic candidates are fighters. John Kerry was not.

Hillary is a great scrapper and I think she can handle what's going to come.

9. I would take this with a grain of salt

1)The author worked with Flynt to expose that the Republicans were sleasy. He is now preparing to work on a book with Ms Palfrey. I see that corruption stories do hurt Republicans, but what does this have to do with having any backgound on the intelligence area. This seems to be one way to talk up his book.

2) That said, we know that whoever the candidate is - Clinton included - they will have slime thrown at them. Kerry and Gore, both had long public lives and were unusually clean. This did NOT give them any protection. (Kerry's war service was never questionable - even Nixon 2 years later gave him credit for it - though he still wanted him destroyed.)

...they know they can make a lot of noise persuade a lot of "undecided" votes to their point of view, and generally make our lives (and I'm talking Everyone other than the extreme RW's lives) miserable for the next 6 to 10 years, which could eventually lead to them taking over again in 6 to 10 years.
