Okay, let's face it. All of our Dem reps actions are not to keep us happy. They are for fence
riders and Independents.
I mean, they all know, no matter how much they scre up or go along with Busch and his crime family, we will always vote Dem.
So, they are just playing to those future voters.

Yes, I hate it.
No, that's not why I voted Dem.
But, it's quite obvious that's what they are doing.

No they aren't. They are doing what they are told to do. For example Dianne Feinstein, safe California seat, doesn't have to attract any fence sitters, is free to vote her conscience. She has no conscience. She votes to eliminate the 4th amendment.

Jim Webb: Virginia is indeed a swing state and he needs to pay attention to independent voters, however he made no attempt to frame this as a individual rights issue in a state that has a long history of opposing any attempts to restrict 2nd amendment gun rights. Why is this issue not framed as a pure Big Gummint vs Billy-Bob issue? Webb doesn't care about your right to be safe from illegal search and seizures, or about giving the corrupt AG the power to decide who shall be spied on. He appears to have other priorities.

Barbara Mikulski: in 2004 she received 65% of the vote. She crushed her opponent. She has no need at all to toss our rights out the window in order to get re-elected.

Which brings me to the final point: what sort of political party do we have if we accept your thesis? A party that is ready and willing to toss out the bill of rights to pander for votes? I don't want any part of that party, thanks.
