Anyone miss Tom Daschle?
I do. Good Democrat. Good majority and minority leader. Wasn't incredibly liberal but was pretty liberal for the state of SD. Was just thinking about him as I read an article he wrote.

2. I sure do!!
I thought he did an admirable job under extremely difficult circumstances.

I also think that without Frank Luntz's help on smearing him, he would
still have his Senate job, and that clown, Thune, would be the two-time
loser that he in reality probably is.

5. He Was Good At First

Getting the anthrax letter, and seeing the government do nothing about it,
took all the fight out of Tom Daschle.

9. Didn't he get rolled on the IWR
just like the current Congress just got rolled on FISA expansion?

Why did Daschle let IWR be voted on just before the 2002 election?

Neither of these votes were posed in good faith...hardball political tactics were used for PR effect...the fact that the "national security trumps personal liberty" faction controls the airwaves makes those tactics effective.

I don't particularly miss Daschle. What I do miss is an educated electorate who knows the MSM is just lying to them for profit, and who knows where to go to get factual information instead of spin.

Oh wait...I can't miss that because we've never had it. Sigh.

12. Miserable, I'll agree with you this time.
He was certainly better than Harry Reid. But actually I would like to have a reincarnation of LBJ for Majority Leader.
