Happy Anniversary Macaca!!!
Posted: Wed. 08/15/07 by PoliticsTV
On August 11, 2006, S.R. Siddarth taped George Allen mocking him as “Macaca”… Two days later, unable to get any TV station to use the footage, the Webb campaign put the video on YouTube. The rest is history.

And in just one year, YouTube has gone from an obscure web app to a household word and a political force.

1. Bravo! We can look forward to many more!
As we head into the next election cycle you can be sure the various Republic candidates will show their true colors from time to time. When they do we'll be sure to capture it and get it out to the world.

With the left's domination of the tubes the right is about to know more pain than they could inflict on us with their hate-talk radio and such. We'll use this medium to show the world the depths of their assholishness by sharing footage of the assholes themselves in all their glory!

On with the show!! :toast:

2. Yep, totally screwed up the GOP strategy
Looking at the field of alleged Republican candidates, you know they're panting for a savior which is why they're so enamored of the woeful Fred Thompson. But George Felix Allen was supposed to be a top-tier candidate, someone who could bring the Republican base and gull enough of the gullible to make a credible run.

Then he lost his Senate race to a totally unknown, first time candidate. All thanks to a little bit of video.

4. So the story goes Webb hires some pol pros to do some polling
he is sitting in his NoVa office and they come in.

"What kind of number do I have right now?"

"About 12%"

"Okay I can work with 12%"

and off he went. The Dems didn't really know much about him either.

The first debate featured Allen "trumping" Webb with a question about a port in the Tidewater area. Webb admitted that he didn't know anything about it (I asked and no one down there had heard much about it either) to which Allen gave his big gapping grin and afterward sat back, kicked up his cowboy boots onto a table, and let the Va. press laud him for basically ending the campaign with one shot (chuckling and backslapping all around)....and then that afternoon and the videotape

:nuke:

"Senator Macacawitz"

3. Can you imagine if that hadn't happened? We'd be looking
at Felix everyday and he'd probably be the Republic frontrunner.
