Call for other candidate literature to be displayed at Madison Obama table
Edited on Thu Aug-16-07 06:57 PM by zulchzulu
I do a weekly table for Obama in Madison at the busiest Farmers Market in the country, according to the New York Times. People from all over the country and even the World frequent this busy event and many stop by at the Obama table for information, to sign up, get bumperstickers, buttons and whatever else they can get their hands on. Estimates in crowd size range from 10,000-30,000 depending on what is happening and the weather. Nothing is for sale, so no money is made in the process.

There was an Edwards table there, but the student who worked it has left to go back to college.

What I am proposing is to have people who support other candidates and/or want information about their candidate displayed in a section of the table or to be accessible for people to check out.

If your candidate of choice is not Obama, either PM me with PDFs of literature you would like displayed and/or send the stuff to me to display. I've decided that Obama is good enough of a candidate for me to spend my Saturday mornings rain or shine to go out in the street and support. I also think that information about other candidates would be what a good Democrat would do as well.

Your opinions or contributions/leads are welcome.

1. Wow
Barak should be proud to have a supporter like you in Wisconsin. Your kindness and generosity is amazing.

4. In the interim, I've made a document with all the Democratic candidates and their websites
No takers so far... I'll have the table until the Farmers Market ends in late October...offer remains until then.

6. Can't help it...getting a rush thinking about tomorrow
It should be very crowded with students back and a lot of things happening downtown and a cool 70 degree sunny day with a mild breeze... perfect for grassroots politics!
