My 11,000 post : A Typical Ride on the Roller Coaster that is DU
For me,yesterday was a day that typified the contrary nature of DU and exemplified the very reason I find DU so addictive.

Throughout the day I found myself continuously dumped on an, described variously as a "hater" or "obsessive" personality. I was told I "needed help" and ought to see a shrink.I was told I was an "armchair warrior" and "needed to get out from behind the computer".

And all of these comments came from different factions! Some from crossover factions from posters I agree with on other issues.

None of my positive posts were responded to, but it seems my "passions " demanded a response from everyone.Late that night was a different story.A wonderful Angel Duer renewed my star! And several other Angel Duers stayed up late last night helping me size a picture for an avatar sticky! My mailbox filled with nice comments about some posts! The world had taken a complete reversal.

Such is the way of DU and why I love it so much here.Thank you all for all your warmth ,caring and yes the "passionate responses" to some of my postings! Remember , while we may not always agree in one thread, I may have your back in another! Isn't that what being a DUer and a Democrat is all about?
