2,000 in Conway, SC to see Obama!!

Of course, most of you don't know where the heck Conway, SC is, but you might find it fun/interesting to Google it. It is a small southern town inland from Myrtle Beach in one of the REDEST parts of one of THE REDEST states in the country. Don't tell me southerners would never vote for a Black man....You naysayers can put that to rest. I was there...I saw the energy and excitment and HOPE...and just look at the diversity of the crowd! No freakin' way Hillary Clinton is leading in South Carolina. She could NEVER draw that kind of crowd here.

Well, I could be somewhat biased :) But from the cheers and laughter and applause from the crowd, I think I can safely say he was a big hit. He was VERY relaxed and I think very happy with the size of the crowd. He didn't miss a beat...covered just about everything...including all of the recent 'dust ups' he's had in the press, but without calling any names. Oh, he was just awesome. It is the fifth time I have seen him since February and he just keeps getting better and better. :)

15. Elizm, I am so glad you got to go. The crowd must have been really excited.

I went to see him last Feb. for his presidential announcement. Even in the bitter cold it was so worth standing out there. And aside from the cold, it was gorgeous out. The crowds were just really up. But, of course, home team and all.

Thanks for letting us know about the great turnout in Conway! You're right --- it IS one of the reddest towns in redder-than-red South Carolina. I'm bummed --- I was supposed to make the trip with some Charleston-area Obama supporters, but had to cancel at the last minute.
