It is the Democratic Party Primary |
|
Not Green, Not Independent, Not Socialist. Certainly NOT Republican.
Your state may allow anybody to vote in your primary, but many states don't. Many people still believe the members of the Party should pick their nominee. If you aren't committed to the Party ideals, then maybe you should be picking the nominee for some other Party.
It's a legitimate point of view. I hope we don't have anybody who is working for a candidate now, but intending to run off to the Republicans or Libertarians next November if their candidate doesn't win.

And will go off and work for other candidates or specifically against certain candidates if they get the nomination.

2. Some people aren't Democrats, I get that |
|
They should consider what they're doing meddling in the Democratic Party primary if they don't believe in the overall direction of the Party, that's all.

4. Not on every detail, but overall, they do |

End the war. Expand health care to every citizen. Fix and expand education. Serious alternative energy development and environmental clean-up. Improve standard of living for all people on the planet.
They have different approaches and some have more things right than others; but they ALL support this overall direction for the party.

5. Yet some of them started the war... |

Or have plans that won't even come close to achieving their goals and would do more long term harm to the democratic party, because of it.
It is in these differences and examining their past records that decide whether they will follow through on their plans or just be 4 years of wasted space, to be quickly followed by a republican.
That latter scenario is far more dangerous than any other one, as it does long term damage to the party.

if I might be lesbian. :eyes: As I have always been attracted to men, and never attracted to women, I told her that I was pretty sure that lesbianism was not my thing and that was a chance I was willing to take.
For some reason your arguement strikes me the same way hers did.
(btw - as a longtime straight but not narrow supporter of GLBT rights I have no concerns about relating this story)

but the other person is making the argument that men have such a bad relationship record that surely you're putting your life in danger by getting hooked up with one.
