Can someone remind MSNBC that there are more than 3 candidates?
Edited on Tue Aug-28-07 11:06 AM by Armstead
Tim Russert typifies the myopic approach of MSNBC in this primary. The only candidates that are being mentioned on this "Super Tuesday" are Clinton, Obama and Edwards.

But whether or not you like 'em, are lukewarm or dislike them, there are others in this race, including Sens. Biden and Dodd and Cong. Kucinich and Gov. Richardson.

Any one of those three Congresspeople have more actual legislative experience than any of the "top three" candidates. And Gov. Richardson certainly has experience in government service.

This is why so many people feel like certain candidates are truly being "shoved down our throats."

How is the average person who relies on the MSM for information supposed to actually see a choice, if they aren't informed about all of the possible choices available to them?

1. Oh, they're still talking about three?
I thought they had narrowed it down to two for us.

Most "journalists" today are the lowest form of scum.

2. Your lucky if they mention Edwards
The MSM wants to make the Democratic primary about a woman and a black man. No one else exists they are making a circus out of it.

3. I wish the candidate themselves would remind me that they are running.

Don't blame the MSM for the candidates inability to get their message out.

4. Partly true but. candidates ARE being shut out
For example, Kucinich gave a great performance on MSNBC's cancer forum yesterday. Regardless of whether you agree with his proposal for single-payer healthcare, he explained and defended it extremely articulately.

But on Tweety's recap on Hardball, it was all about Hilary's empty pandering promise to declare a "War on Cancer." No mention of Kucinich or Richardson at all.

8. Matthews gets fixated on one candidate and won't let go
With the republicans its Rudy and the Democrats its Hillary. This is a man who has been around politics his entire adult life and he still has tunnel vision.

7. Welcome to my world, Armstead
I know you were a Dean supporter last time, but I was a Kucinich supporter in 2004, and this round is shaping up exactly like the previous one.

What gives me hope is that more people on DU are getting excited about Kucinich, and I HOPE they're talking to their friends and relatives.
