==WOLFEBORO, N.H. — With his megawatt smile, unruffled demeanor and smooth accent, Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards looks and sounds like the optimistic, positive guy he claims to be.==
==Edwards says voters are more eager for change than they were four years ago and he is more seasoned but not "angrier," as he was recently described in a political blog, ABC's The Note.
"I'm the same person I've always been, very positive, very optimistic by nature. And I always speak true," he says in an interview. "I see some truths that need to be spoken, and I do see the need for real, specific, substantive change."==
==His campaign bus is painted with the slogan, "Fighting for One America." This time around, he says, "I want to make the transition from identifying the problems to reaching real solutions."
To the crowds that come to hear him, the former North Carolina senator describes a political system designed to let ordinary people suffer for the profits of big business. "The system in Washington is rigged and it's rigged against you," he says. National policymaking is "corrupt" and "corroded" by the influence of corporate lobbyists and "the politicians who curry their favor and carry their water," he says. "However bad you think it is, it's worse."==
