Did anyone see this on NBC last night? |
|
Newsmax is claiming that NBC smeared Kerry last night. If this is true, we need to contact NBC and let them know we do not approve of this kind of gotcha journalism. I'm not a big fan of Kerry, but this kind of reporting will hurt the whole party. http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/2/17/160734.shtml

1. newmax could claim Jesus has come again |
|
and I wouldn't go to their site to check it out. As for whether or not it's true, I've not a clue.

someone was posting it, and I didn't see NBC last night so I don't know if there is any truth to it.

3. Yes, they did on Nightly News |
|
It was a big section on Kerry and special interests, basically restating everything that's already been said and calling Kerry a hypocrite. They didn't put any of Kerry's donations in context of Bush's or give Kerry's side an opportunity to respond by pointing out that when PAC donations are factored in, Kerry ranks 92nd out of 100 senators.
Later, they did detail Bush's fundraising, although it wasn't nearly as biting, and I will give them credit for quoting some official as saying that Bush has raised five times as much special interest money in the past 2 years as Kerry has raised in his entire career. But taken as a whole, kerry did not come off well.

10. So what NBC is really saying... |
|
is that it's not wrong to accept special interest money - it's wrong to criticize it. could that be because some of the special interest money comes from them?
gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

NBC was already damned for its malfeasance and dereliction of it's duty as the eyes and ears of the people ... I dont need to give a hit to the assholes in Newsmax to know this ...

If this is the kind of "news" company they chose to be, then they just lost a viewer.

7. You may not post any material from extreme right-wing sources, specifically WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax.com, FreeRepublic.com, and their ilk. Material from more "mainstream" conservative writers or sources, such as The Washington Times and Fox News, are permitted as long as the post includes a clear warning about the source. (For example: "WARNING: Please note that this article is written by George Will.")
