So what does Craig do now? |
|
Once resigned, what does Larry Craig do? He won't ever win an election (at least in Idaho) ever again so his political days are over.
I am sure people at his church look at him awfully funny these days and probably don't want much to do with him. You would think his neighbors also look at him pretty funny.
He won't go on the public speaking circuit. Who would have him speak?
I doubt there are many boards of directors for businesses that would want him on board. He's pretty toxic and it would cause a big ruckus.
So what does he do? Fry guy at the local Wendy's? "Welcome to Wal-Mart" greeter? Restroom attendant at the Interstate rest stop? (He may like that.)

2. Get a pretend ranch and clear brush? |

Drink heavily and rail about how none of it was his fault?
Who cares, just so long as he isn't in any position to set national policy anymore.

8. I'd love to see his anger turn to revenge on who ever it was who leaked the whole thing. |
|
Thinking somebody high up the GOP food chain needed to remind those about to jump ship that they can all be destroyed if they don't tow the line.
The leaking of Craig's incident would be a pretty strong message to a bunch of pols who KNOW the wiretaps were less about catching terrorists and more about bullying and blackmailing anybody cheney needs to control.

Give him land, lots of land under starry skies above Don't fence him in Let him ride the open Idaho country that he loves Don't fence him in Let him be by himself in the evenin' breeze And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees Send him off forever but I ask you please Don't fence him in

13. I assume he's rich like just about every Senator these days |
|
and he won't have to do anything if he doesn't want to. He looks to be about retirement age anyway. He'll just live off his capital, look into reverse mortgages, etc. Probably do a lot of golfing.

14. He gets aabout $120,000 a year now as his pension from the Senate |
|
Actually, Craig may not be one of the richer ones, I read someplance that he lives off of his Senate salary. But the average American is not going to worry about the financial well being of some guy with a $120,000 income and a good prepaid health insurance plan.
