|
and she can't take responsiblity for
if she wants my vote and the support of those of us in the antiwar movement, it's not too much to ask otherwise we're going to hound her and criticize her as long as she runs (even if it means backing a third party)

10. nope. That isn't even the issue for you. No matter how many times or ways she says... |
|
".. I wouldn't have voted that way knowing what I know now" or "Voting that way was a mistake," the leftwing (for some odd reason) think they have her over a barrel on this issue because she hasn't kissed their ass and said "I'm sorry."
Too bad.

15. oh, yes they will. You bet you ass they will |
|
Should Clinton win her party’s nomination, and it is looking like she will more and more each day, the only thing Clinton will need from the left is additional GOTV efforts and, of course, their votes - neither of which they will withhold. Why? Because YOU need a presidential victory to seal your status as a serious political movement.
That's why I take all the “I will not vote for her under any circumstances” rhetoric that seeps from the left with a grain of salt. The netroots have looked forward to this presidential election for several years and they’re not about to let it get away. Like the rest of us Democrats, you will fight for Hillary Clinton in 2008. You have to. If you sit out this campaign as many have threatened and throw a winnable election to the GOP, it will be the death knell of your political movement.
And KOS, Arianna Huffington, David Sirota, and YOU know it.

19. Actually, some of us will vote for her if she is the nominee but many will not work for her. |

Many of us have local campaigns that we will be working on as well and simply will not find the energy to devote to the presidential campaign that we would if it were another nominee.

26. That probably goes for any of the candidates |
|
I mean, there are some of the candidates who I don't think I'd work for, but that hardly matters because I know there are plenty of other people who will work for them.

7. If we're ready for change, she's ready to lead... |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-05-07 12:57 PM by polichick
Is she? Is Obama? What are they doing NOW to make sure we don't go to war with Iran, or to make sure not one more penny is used for Bush's faux war. Is Clinton or Obama ready to lead when it comes to impeachment?
Pretty easy to talk about leading in the future ~ but there's precious little Congressional leadership NOW.

Let's look at John Edwards' "serious" policy discussions for his 30 second ads. Here's his ad with his wife talking about how great he is - http://johnedwards.com/media/video/30-years/Here's his ad talking about the strength of america which is mostly standard boiler plate - http://johnedwards.com/media/video/strength-of-america/They are 30 second campaign ads, not policy papers.

18. Actually both those ads have more substance than this Hillary ad.The first is |
|
obviously"personal" and is about a wife and husband.Elizabeth sharing her feelings. She is the "witness" for John's good qualities as it were . The second commercial deals with philosophy and challenges the American people. At least Edwards indicates his philosophy and how it would be implements, by the inclusion of the people..Hillary talks about change for changes sake! I am sorry but I do not feel Hillary's commercial was that good. They have the money to do much better.JMHO.

21. LOL substance is a wife saying nice things about her husband. |
|
"At least Edwards indicates his philosophy and how it would be implements"
His philosophy is America is strong because of Americans.
The 2nd was such boiler plate I actually flashed to the Simpsons when aliens pose as Clinton and Dole and issue speeches ripping off famous past political speeches.
"Onward, not outward, forward not back ward and always twirling twirling towards freedom!"
Like I said, they are 30 sec ads, I am not looking for serious substance.
But its does amuse me that you see them in that way.

|
You have to say a lot in 30 sec.And some ads are better than others.Hillary's soprano ad was actually more "solid' and a much better ad.Of course it was longer.I am sure they will do better. This was not as impressive. It was one dimensional.

25. Don't be so cynical. She's for change. She's for leadership. She's for a bold new direction. |
|
I think that's pretty damn specific. Or do you just have a problem with change and leadership and a bold new direction? You bold new direction hater, you.

I might be a simple person but I liked this ad. Positive message that simply states the things she will work on.
Wonder when the negative ads will show up?

I also didn't like the narrator. I think they need to run this thru a few more focus groups.
