Oprah should go on the road for Obama the way Bill is following Hillary |
|
timing strategy would be key... How much can Oprah help Barack Obama and in your opinion how can she help be a deciding factor between Obama and Hillary?

2. I read today she is trying to work things out with the campaign. She would like to do just that. |

3. I am shocked at the number of men that completely |
|
and utterly HATE Ophra. I started noticing reaction to her by the 30 - 40 something white male set about five years ago. More recently I was in a sports bar and an ad for her special came on the tv (no sound) and the crowd all started chanting "Bitch" and then "Anti-Christ Bitch" in unison.
I called a friend to ask what was going on? He claims it is because they see everything she does as self-serving while trying to appear generous toward others. He claims that men are not taken in by her false modesty and it pisses them off that women are. I still don't understand.

Oprah does not appeal to all demographics. Obama should remember that.

11. Oprah will do well. About a month ago on DU a poster told me. Oprah will dump |
|
Obama for Hillary. It just goes to show you if she was pushing for Hillary or Edwards people would be jumping up for Joy.

12. I could understand that some men don't like her - |
|
what I still can't wrap my mind around is the way so many absolutely hate her. It seems to be completely over the top and irrational.
I have asked a couple of guys what the deal is and they responded by attacking me for not hating her. I can't defend her because I don't care about her one way or the other. But I do find reaction to her pretty polarized.

4. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Obama's wife campaigning for her. |
|
So --- a husband can't campaign for his wife, but a wife can campaign for her husband. Another action taken from the republicans, bashing of other candidates and now double standard....

10. I think it is interesting that Bill has been out campaigning for Hillary |
|
only twice in the past three months - July 4th and this past weekend. Michelle is out daily.
The Edwards and Obama supporters have seemed a little desperate in the past weeks.

6. So you want Oprah to sleep with Obama? |
|
I don't think that would help his campaign and Michelle would :spank: him.

14. In answer to your question |
|
She has a lot of influence with her viewers, and it is possible that some people will take a closer look at Obama now. Her endorsement may even effect people who might have been apolitical before...Which I think is a good thing.
Do I think they will vote for him, JUST because Oprah backs him? Not so much.

15. It is clear that Oprah will make a difference in Obama winning the primary, just how much |
|
will remain to be seen. It truly depends on who is running the show collectively between Oprah's people and Obama's. Strategy and timing will truly be key.
