Poll question: Will we have any Gore or Clark options?
I know we have a ton of Gore fans. There's even a hard core redoubt around here of my fellow die-hard Clarkies hoping for an 11th hour rescue. But the clock is running out and all the pretty dollars have been snapped up.

Do you think we face any surprises on our menu of options between now and, say, a week after South Carolina when the nomination is all sewn up by somebody? Or is it time to cut and choose?

1. I think there's a bit of time left
But I'm not holding my breath for either one to enter at this point. I also don't think it's terribly necessary to choose one of the other candidates just yet.

2. I don't see either of them entering the race.
Clark's my first choice, but I'm not holding out much hope that he'll run at this point.

Gore doesn't seem all that interested in running, and I doubt he will. I just don't see his various statements in the same light others apparently do. I think he's been pretty clear about not running.

Those statements aside, I don't think it's necessary to jump on the bandwagon of another candidate quite yet.

4. That is, if there is an election
There will be a false flag incident blamed on Iran.

Bush will bomb Iran using tactical nuclear weapons.

Iranian military forces will invade Iraq to engage the American troops.

In that scenario, I can see either Clark or Gore declaring.

However, if that happens, Bush is likely to declare martial law so
the election will be a moot point.
