Petraeus's Presser For The Bush Admin: Did Anyone Ask Why Anyone Should Believe Him? |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-10-07 05:55 PM by MannyGoldstein
I didn't get the opportunity to watch the Bush admins' new Press Secretary, Gen. Petraeus, spew forth at Congress.
Didn't Petraeus previously claim that we'd captured one of Saddam's mobile germ warfare labs o' death, which was a lie? Did anyone ask him why we should believe a word out of his mouth? Did anyone ask him if he disagrees with anything the the Bushies have ever said about Iraq, and if not, why shouldn't he be assumed to be yet another deceitful swine?
Or was Congress afraid to call the new Press Secretary directly to account?
If Bush put this guy in charge, there's no way that he's anything but bad news: I hope that Congress called that out, rather than engaging in the same hero-worship that I've been seeing.

2. i didn't comment in the threads -- but i watched it. |

it was a fuckin spectacle made to order for the white house.
petraeus and that ridiculous ambassador obviously cooked teh books -- and they were caught at it too.
you will have heard about wexler by now -- and maybe ackerman -- petraeus didn't even understand ackerman's point.
i'm past the point of disgust with bushco.
obviously we are being forced to reach into unreality with the testimony of petraeus.
