Wisc. Democratic Party chairman endorses Edwards, cites his "Two Americas" theme

==In a move that may unsettle some party regulars, state Democratic Party Chairman Joe Wineke is endorsing former U.S. Sen. John Edwards' bid for president.

Wineke, who made the endorsement during a Milwaukee fundraiser for Edwards on Monday night, said he made the endorsement as an individual and not as the party's chairman.==

==Wineke said he is backing Edwards because of his emphasis on alleviating poverty.

"The other candidates are all good. On the war in Iraq, on health care, they're all nuances apart. But Edwards is the only candidate talking about the 'two Americas,' " Wineke said, referring to Edwards' critique of the growing gap between rich and poor.==
