The Congressional Progressive Caucus - do you think they best represent DU values?
Within the Democratic Party?

More and more I feel as though the center of what I know as the Democratic party is shifting right. Sadly, the lines between what defines a Dem and a rethug are blurring more and more.

Though I am a life-long Democratic voter (minus a couple of votes for local Independents) and I plan to vote Democratic in 2008. Yet - I'm just as much driven by my disgust against the corrupt BushCo regime and all his lock-stepping idiots, then I am by a passion toward the Democratic Party.

As I look to find that segment of the party (still within the party) that best reflects my views - I look to the CPC. What do you think? Do they represent the views of DU --- that is, the left of the party rather then what the MSM refers to as the "base"?

1. Wake up!
This is no time for dreamy speculations on liberal utopia. Moderates are taking charge of the party because the liberal faction can't win a damn election! Be content with getting a Democrat in the White House, and your liberal agenda will have chance to be realized. Think for a change! And think about winning 35 or 40 states--not 21!

Joe Biden is the obvious choice.

2. Joe Biden voted to give Shrub a few billion more
War dollars last May.

He shrouded his excuse in body armour.

That vote cost him any long distance shot at ever being President.

Smart guy - yes. Way too deep in the party elite - absolutely.

And regarding a liberal utopia; I can't say the left or the right of our party has met the grade post 06 election. But we do share this Steve, getting ANY Dem in the White House is critical. We simply can't afford to keep the travesty going any longer; the BushCo regime is ripping apart our Constitution one page at a time.
