How to hide American casualties in Iraq
It's easy. Bring in the "private security forces," ie Blackwater, Dyncorp, KBR, etc.

From http://www.businessnc.com/index.php?src=directory&view=articles&srctype=display&refno=484&category=2007-06">Business North Carolina:

Using pri-vate security contractors allows the government to mask the scope of U.S. involvement in conflicts and the price in blood. “The Defense Department concedes we’ve got about 100,000 private contractors in Iraq,” he says, adding that an estimated 800 to 1,000 have been killed — nearly a third the number of military deaths. “You don’t have mothers protesting in the streets. When they’re killed or captured, it doesn’t make headlines.”

1000 contractor deaths is nearly a third of the military casualties. Are we to believe that all of these contractors worked in the cafeterias and laundries in Iraq? Our actual casualties are much higher if you add in the mercenaries...
