Paging Al Gore: The Planet Earth is Calling!
Earth to Al Gore: Pick up the phone already...there are millions of us ringing.

Al and Tipper, if by any chance you are listening, the earth is "in the balance" and the planet is calling. Yes, our party has a great crop of candidates, but there is still only one who was once elected to be president by nearly a 600,000 vote margin, and that was you, Al.

Give Americans a second chance, Al.

It's not too late. You still haven't ruled it out, so...

Rule it in!

I'm ready, my family is ready with our hearts, our money, our time and our sweat to restore you to the White House and to restore our nation.

Let the political pundits have a heaping dose of the inconvenient truth that you will run...and that you will win.

Earth to Al: Please, please,, please run.

It seems to me the timing is right. I imagine it might be difficult to turn away from ones own destiny when it calls out so insistently.

But that could just be my own hope forming such a dramatic opinion.

2. Gotta Agree with Hitchens quote on this subject
"Should he make up his mind not to run, he would retrospectively abolish all the credit he has acquired so far. "

If Al Gore wants to work on the climate crisis, government is the place he will have to be.

5. Christopher Hitchens hardly holds the credit ratings of Democrats.
I just finished his latest book, "god is not great" which has its moments until he absorbs himself into ever present pool of narcissism.

Your point that government is where Gore can be most effective is true. Even Bill Clinton admits that he can't achieve as a powerful private citizen what he could when he lived in the White House.

3. I can't shake the feeling
he's jumping into the race next month. Why would he not give the big, no-doubt-about-it, final "NO" like he did in 2004?

I'll answer my own question. Because he is playing by HIS rules now! Not the bullspit media "rules."
GO AL!!!

He still has not ruled out running...

I am so there should he run.

7. Kick! I'd love to see this now!

Al Gore was supposed to speak at a recent annual Lake Tahoe event that was started when he and Clinton were in the White House. Gore was all tied up to be the main speaker but told Harry Reid that he would only show if the Clintons were not there. Bill found out, called Reid several times whining. Got his way and then Gore pulled out of the event.

What does that tell you? I think it would be hysterical if he ran against Hillary!

Can only add that I was very disappointed that Gore cancelled. But why did he? So, like does he dislike the Clintons this bad? Bill showed up in Reno later to raise funds for the Nevada State Dem Party, all Hillary supporters.

8. Yes, people are only ready to support you if you jump in the political fray
Otherwise you are just throwing away all you have done to this point and it doesn't matter. That seems to be teh jist of it. And yes, the planet is calling and he has answered. A shame others won't unless it is on their terms.

13. So true!
If he doesn't run I intend to smash all my compact fluorescents, buy a Hummer and leave it idling in the driveway, and ship all my groceries in from Kuala Lumpur.

I won't buy any of his CDs or DVDs either.

So there.

15. I wouldn't think he could without corporate media backing,
but the point here is that he's a man who doesn't really need it, which could go a long way to help tear down the corrupt way presidents are chosen in this nation.

23. Please give Al your 2 cents!
THE TWO CENTS CAMPAIGN
Show Al the Money!

If you want to do your part to help convince Al Gore to run for President, join our two cents campaign. All you have to do is put two pennies in an envelope, and send them to:

Office of the Honorable Al Gore
2100 West End Avenue, Suite 620
Nashville, TN 37203

You can include a note that you'll send a proper contribution once he announces he's in the race. We believe that Gore and his advisors will take note of this tangible evidence that America needs him to run for president. It is simple, won't take long to do and will only cost you half a dollar including stamp and envelope and, of course, the two pennies. So dive into the couch and retrieve the pennies that will represent your opinion.
