Even Bush is calling Hillary the Democratic nominee. |
|
Do Sen. Clinton's supporters really think he's voicing that opinion so that everyone knows he's worried for his Party? Or is he, Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, Karl Rove, and all the other Republicans with vested interests in this election, calling her the inevitable nominee to guarantee that she actually is the inevitable nominee because they are aware of her weakness among the electorate and are convinced they can beat her? Great lady, weak general election candidate. Another heartbreaking election night will be the least of our worries if she get the nomination. We'd better wise up before it's too late. Our country's future depends on it.

We will be greeted as liberators. The war will last about 6 months. Saddam has weapons of mass destruction. And Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee.

What do you do, look up a poster's profile for insult ammunition? Pretty low. You must be young.

They say the truth hurts. This is exactly why the Republicans keep chanting "Hillary! Hillary! Hillary!" and like Pavlov's dog the Democrats seem to be drooling on cue. Rove is only a genius in relative terms.

You ignore a fair question, dodging it with a childish insult. It does not reflect well on your candidate.

19. Hey - maybe Rove knows how skittish Democrats are and how quick many of us are |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-24-07 10:33 PM by beaconess
to immediately run away from anything we think might come even close to being what Republicans want us to do. So he set up a scheme under which Bush and several other Republicans whom we loathe start saying that Hillary Clinton will be the nominee . . . knowing full well that the minute some Democrats think that Republicans want Clinton to be the nominee, they will turn on her but quick.
How better to rid themselves of someone they view as otherwise unbeatable than to sucker punch Democrats into getting rid of her first.
Just a thought. . .

"Oh PLEASE give us Hillary Clinton as your nominee!!!" Republicans, ca 2008

20. Because that doesn't work, that's why. |
|
Rove's an SOB, but he does know how to manipulate the masses. What you're suggesting wouldn't work. What I'm suggesting--and it's certainly not my idea--does work because Karl Rove has used it before with great success. He understands what kind of candidate is best suited for a Republican to beat, someone who doesn't appeal to the salt-of-the-earth, pickup driving, football loving American. Kerry was such a candidate. So is Hillary. They promote their candidate as someone you would be comfortable having a beer with. They fooled America into thinking Bush was such a person. Hillary's husband, Bill, had several advantages: the economy, Ross Perot, and he's so damn smart and good with people. Hillary is smart, but isn't as intellectually gifted as her husband, nor is she as disarming with the public as he is. She'll have, and does have, passionate supporters, but she won't be able to win over enough Americans to win in the general election.

23. Most people already know this |
|
except those who find such truths inconvenient. They pretend the world works in which ever way pleases them, like pretending that there really isn't a strong undercurrent of animosity toward Hillary running through this country. Or that the war in Iraq is really making us safer. Different groups pretend differently.

|
Aren't most people, including those who see the "big picture" or are open minded, part of a group who possess the same: point of view. culture, likes, dislikes, family, politics and so on ?
Do all groups "pretend" or only a certain type?
Thanks,
