Students for Obama make Daily Kos
(Crosspost from Barack Obama group)

My daughter is very involved in Students for Obama in the SF Bay Area and sent me this:

I'm so proud of her passion and her involvement. :loveya:

We can do this!

GObama!

2. Yes, it is wonderful.
Thanks for cheering her/them on!

She tells me that a lot of students at her school are hedging their bets and have signed up for more than one candidate's group.

She actually made a deal with the head of a different candidate's group to have the Obama meetings on a different night so there would be no conflict -- but she's expecting to see her group grow while the other group shrinks. :D

7. Never too early.
Awareness of how political outcomes influence all our lives on a very personal level is key to getting them involved.

5. Wonderful.
There are very few things in life that are better than watching our kids blossom into wonderful adults. They bring such enthusiasm and optimism to politics.

6. How true.
My little one was introduced to politics while she was still in grade school. I took her to "Election Central" with me the night Bill Clinton won his second term and she caught the fever that night.

She formally debuted as a political activist on her 16th birthday at a Dean for America Meet-Up, when she could have been out partying with her friends, instead.

She was disgusted and dismayed that so many other young people were completely oblivious and unconcerned -- when political outcomes will have such an influence on their own futures -- and she's been going nonstop ever since, getting them aware and involved.
