Biden did not vote for the Lieberman - Kyl Amendment. And Hillary?
Perhaps she didn't have time to read the entire amendment due to conflicts in her busy campaign schedule. Why are people supporting her? Bold new ideas? Unparalleled experience? Ability to work across the aisle? I it because she's so well positioned to heal the great political continental divide in this country? What does she bring to the table that the other candidates don't? Is it her husband?

3. indeed. Why are people rationalizing this vote?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3551793&mesg_id=3551793

I would point out I see no reason for ANYONE to vote for this, but I notice the hillarybots are in high gear rationalizing it, so that makes me reply to them directly about it.

the larger question is why is ANYONE backing this vote? did we learn nothing at all? apparently.

4. Right on JOE!
My guy skipped the vote. I'm still awaiting a statement condemning the amendment.

Hillary is a hawk.
Period.

5. $#)(^(&% WHAT do people see in that woman, anyway?? sheesh.
apparently the status quo is just fine with some people. Endless war by endlessly warring warmongers who have no imagination, no foresight, no other ideas?? NO PROBLEM!! are the voters simply dullards who can't imagine any other way?

6. But but but SHE HAS A 'D' BY HER NAME!
During World War II, President Franklin D. Roosevelt reportedly said of Nicaraguan strongman Anastosio Somoza that... "He may be a son of a bitch but he's our son of a bitch."
-- (http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_larry_sa_070103_our_son_of_a_bitch.htm)

In fear of the PC police, I won't paraphrase it for the current context.

9. Media and Money
She has the lion's share of both, but she is already wearing thin with the public. With that lobbyist "Meet and Greet" fund raiser and $850,000 in contributions from Hsu, it is conjuring up some bad memories.

13. I believe that most people ,admit it or not,
who support Hillary Clinton do so because they think they will return to the Clinton era. I was a Bill Clinton fan,but I certainly do not want to return to the polarization of that era. There seems to be no other reason to me that people would accept her dancing ,flip floping and never directly answering questions. When ever she is cornered she comes out with that "laugh". If not for Bill, she surely would not be able to raise the funds she has. I personally am not looking forward to another Clinton presidency.

14. Good Post. You won't see another Clinton presidency.
Hillary would lose an election that the Democrats have no excuse not to win. She's not the best qualified nor can she win the general election. The reasons for giving her the nomination escape me.

21. The reason that individuals get nominated is beyond us all. As a conspiratorialist
I am sure there are forces acting that we can not see.

When I was a republican I was glad that LBJ would not run for re-election as he made a huge mess of the Vietnam War. It gave the republicans a good chance of winning the Presidency. But who gets nominated?? Richard Milhouse Nixon. He certainly wasn't the most popular with the voters, but that doesn't seem to matter.

HRC isn't the most popular either, but I bet somehow she will win the nomination. The "force" is with her.

2 fundraising, the GQ magazine, then today's vote.

No thank you!
