The Lady, clothed in shimmering samite, stood upon the lighted stage.
Arrows from the petty mob, those that would tear her down from the dizzying heights to which she had deservedly climbed, fell around her -but she was not cowed.
Her purity and moral certitude carried the day for her, while the lesser men who thought to stand upon the same stage, faded into the night like the timid cowards they were.
It was glorious.
