The media is now telling us Hillary is 33 points ahead of Obama BULLSHIT. Its interesting the timing of this poll when two days ago Newsweek came out with a poll saying Obama was leading Clinton and Edwards in Iowa.

30. Jim Carville had the best line about Democrats in Texas |
|
When he was addressing a group of us in Dallas, he said that when he was invited to address a group of Texas Democrats, he thought he was going to be giving his speech inside a phone booth.

3. I do not believe it either. |
|
nor do I believe Rass or others when Bush seems to have 30+ %. If he polls (honestly) at 20%, I would almost be able to believe that. 1 out of 5 is about right according to the bell curve. that one being on the far left of the IQ curve, up to and including more than one standard deviation below average.

4. It is fascinating the way the polling differs nationally as opposed - |
|
to state by state where it is definitely a horse race.
Hillary has the advantage of name recognition. Obama not so much which is why he's pounding the campaign trail.
I'm beginning to believe anything can happen and that inevitability is nothing more than a word assigned to a campaign. We shall see.

I haven't seen one other state where it's a horse race...If you have polls indicating it's a horse race in other states please post them...

15. I believe both Obama & Edwards are subscribing to the domino theory: |
|
One state at a time, the difference is Obama is better-financed. The polls are vacillating quite a bit now and it is that volatility that makes me think anything can happen. In other words, I think it would premature to stick a fork in anyone's campaign just yet.

The WaPO ABC poll is a national heat with an MOE of 4. The Newsweek poll was for IA & a 7 pt MOE.
"Its interesting the timing of this poll when two days ago Newsweek came out with a poll saying Obama was leading Clinton and Edwards in Iowa."
Interesting that the Newsweek poll came out right out before Obama kicked off a major Iowa campainging tour.

if I was an Obama supporter. Although I wouldn't get into the conspiracy crap I have seen trying to explain it away.
Obama is not making any traction and instead Hillary is expanding her lead. Obama has 3 months to improve, otherwise it is goodnight to his campaign. It is not looking good, not at all.

There is one, it's real. Ask yourself, again, whether it's true that the Dems can't get a message out - or whether the Clintons didn't want an anti-war, Bush lied, message to get out.

|
No one on the left wants her, look at the poll done here on DU earlier today she was like 4th or 5th down the line.
Repukes will crossover in open-primary states and vote for her because they know whoever gets the GOP nomination will win easily.

28. Um she is beating every GOPer head to head. |
|
She has a massive war chest. Polling has her flipping quite a few red states.
And this is while the GOP can't seem to get out of each other's way.
"Repukes will crossover in open-primary states and vote for her because they know whoever gets the GOP nomination will win easily."
So GOP voters en mass will forgo voting for their own nominee to help Hillary secure the Dem nomination?
You were better off insinuating a DU poll as vaild.

Denying the obvious is foolish. For better or for worse, at present Hillary Clinton has massively more popular support than either Obama or Edwards.
Clinton's victory in February is not inevitable, but I'd want damn long odds to bet against it.

I didn't see anything in the article that asked the people being polled how likely they are to drag themselves out to their precinct caucus on a cold February night.
