It's Okay to Admit That Your Candidate Has Flaws |
|
And it's okay for someone to like a flawed candidate, anyway.
My friends aren't perfect, neither is my wife, my dog, nor myself. I like them anyway, and don't suspect anyone would have a problem with that.
If we're going to have any intellectually honest discussion, we need to be upfront and accepting of this premise. And if perfection is the standard, then no candidate qualifies as fit. So quit pretending your candidate is perfect, and quit pretending like any candidate who's not should be counted out completely.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled fighting.

1. You had better know they all have flaws |
|
And if any of them are as flawed as bu$h then you need a new candidate.

People have flaws. It's bad to put your candidate (or anyone) on some pedestal and go bananas if anybody dare criticize them. Just look at the way people considered Chimpy the second coming, and how much trouble that caused.

3. Well how are you defining flawed? |
|
Nobody I know is perfect, and I am not asking the next President to be perfect, nor anyone that runs for that office. But I damn well expect them to be as close as humanly possible. We are talking about the POTUS. The highest office in this land, and at one time (pre-bush) the world.
There are some transgressions that we would not forgive or spouse, children, friends, co-workers, and even our pets. Well the same should apply to the POTUS, and the candidates, irregardless of what party they represent.
Flawed in my interpretation is something like my husband snores. This drives me up the wall, but I still love him. Hillary's laugh is a flaw, something that has absolutly nothing to do with her being POTUS. Now, if my husband decieves me by sleeping with another woman, and then buying said woman gifts, that is more than just a flaw. Hillary taking huge donations from corporations that are going to expect repayment is more than just a flaw.

he admits he has made mistakes. Edwards did too concerning the IWR.

5. Thank you for posting this! |

I am so tired of people around here that think their candidate walks on water.
Each and everyone of our 8 have done some pretty stupid things since January. And they will continue to as well. Get used to it.
