4. I don't support Hillary
an though I may vote for Kucinich as a protest vote, I don't really support him either. His votes may be admirable, but he hasn't written and gotten passed any legislation that would actually help poor and working class people. He voted against SCHIP, and I don't care that the reason that he voted against it was noble. Classic case of the perfect is the enemy of the good. I am glad that he will probably vote to override the veto. He promised hearings on 9/11 and then postponed them indefinitely. He said he was "seriously thinking" of introducing a privileged resolution to impeach weeks ago. Was he serious, or simply saying that for political advantage?

I like his ideas for health care, getting out of Iraq and a Dept of Peace, but sorry, that's just not enough.

5. yeah...now compare that LONG voting history
to that of ANY of the other candidates...see how many questionable votes they have.

No candidate's votes will be perfect...but Kucinich's are pretty close.

10. Kucinich was (maybe is) pro-life
One of the more controversial aspects of Kucinich in 2003-04 was his position as a pro-lifer, based on his Catholic beliefs.

He subsequently moderated them, but his earlier record was basically pro-life.

11. This is what he has said about the issue:

"I don’t believe in abortion. I do, however, believe in choice.

I have always believed in the goal of reducing the need for abortions. Throughout my career, I have supported programs with this intent. I have supported social programs, expanded Medicaid coverage, and maternal and child nutrition programs to strengthen vulnerable families. Also, I have stood behind programs that teach sex education, domestic family planning and promote the use of contraception. It was my hope that these efforts would give women the information and support they would need to make their own reproductive choices.

The decision to terminate a pregnancy is one of the most serious decisions a woman might make. It is a deeply personal decision. In our society, all women and all men have a right to make difficult moral decisions and make personal choices. But women will not be equal to men if this constitutionally protected right is denied.

I believe that women have the right to determine their reproductive choices, and I believe that criminalizing abortion is unconstitutional. I do not believe that Roe v. Wade should be overturned."
