He's sharpening the differences between him and Hillary. Preview of it's on right now.

4. He's on now talking about how he spoke out against the war, how Hillary's vote FOR it |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-11-07 03:35 PM by jenmito
speaks of her judgement, and how HE has the judgement for FUTURE decisions, too. He said everyone knew that a vote for the resolution was a vote for the war.
He said he's going to be more aggressive against her as more people start paying attention.

6. I liked his response to the question about being behind in the polls |
|
Paraphrased: If I cared about polls, I'd be on here talking about the 5th aniversary of my vote for the Iraq War Resolution.
He also did a good job of explaining why he couldn't make the vote on Lieberman-Kyl, though Wolf was too stupid to get it the first time.

7. YES-that was a very good response... |
|
and I'm sure he's implying Hillary and Edwards voted for the IWR because of the polls. :D
I agree. He put out a statement on how he would've voted against it. Good move.

14. This was the quote I copied from |
|
his spokesman on Oct 3rd, the day after the vote or there abouts.
"Senator Obama clearly recognizes the serious threat posed by Iran. However, he does not agree with the President that the best way to counter that threat is to keep large numbers of troops in Iraq, and he does not think that now is the time for saber-rattling towards Iran. In fact, he thinks that our large troop presence in Iraq has served to strengthen Iran - not weaken it. He believes that diplomacy and economic pressure, such as the divestment bill that he has proposed, is the right way to pressure the Iranian regime. Accordingly, he would have opposed the Kyl-Lieberman amendment had he been able to vote today."
Logic instead of sabre rattling(very non corporate/military complex oriented)..How Refreshing~

8. Heaven forbid if he is anything one tiny tiny bit like his supporters |
|
I'll turn the TV off so I don't have to watch him. I really think he was a good candidate, but the supporters on this list the way they can't find anything spectacular about him have to constantly bash Hillary Clinton trying to get people to change their minds has made me stay far far away from that decision.

We know we're costing Barack the election, Nitwit, why do you have to remind us that thoughtful voters like yourself turn against Obama all the time because of little ole us?

15. Poor Obama, reliving something |
|
that he took a stand on 5 years ago but his solution is exactly what HRC said about Iraq.....Oh and by the way this afternoon on CNN he lied when he said he did not know there would be a vote on the liberman/kyl bill in the Senate and that is why he missed that vote.....The majority leader sets the date and time when all this happens and you wanna know where he was on the vote by the Senate to condemn MoveOn ( HRC voted NO!) Obama had to go to a fund raiser in Atlanta.....Looking good Obama.....Now you gonna go after Hillary..Well my friend, you better not cross that line or you will find yourself again with your ass up around your head as the last two times you went negative on HRC....

As for Kyl-Lieberman
Official transcript from the night before:
"Mr. REID: Mr. Chairman, there will be no more votes tonight. We have tried to work something out on the Kyl-Lieberman amendment and the Biden amendment. We have been unable to do that.
We have been very close a few times, but we have just been informed that Senator Biden will not have a vote anytime in the near future. There will not be a vote on the other one anytime in the near future. We hope tonight will bring more clearness on the issue."
He purposely didn't vote on the ridiculous MoveOn vote because he saw it for exactly what it was - a stupid Republican partisan snow job while more pressing business needed to be attended to. He didn't avoid it -- he purposely refused to play the Repub's game.
