has Edwards called for debate to exclude Kucinich and Sharpton ? |
|
some on here are claiming kerry is avoiding a debate with edwards only. but i haven't seen any proposal by edwards to debate only kerry and to exclude kucinich and sharpton. cable news hosts asking candidates reps isn't anything since it's just talk without any actual offers. i actually think kerry should debate edwards one on one. i do think edwards would probably do better than kerry also.

on some news shows asked Kerry's reps if he would debate and they avoided answering the question PROBABLY because there's 2 other people still in the race. Why would JUST Kerry and EDWARDS debate? Of course, the Edwards people have spun this to mean Kerry is avoiding a 1 on 1 debate. :eyes:

3. no, CNN and LAtimes decide who debates |
|
they were all talking about it on CNN last night. The debate is sponsered by CNN, so if Larry King wants to moderate with just Edwards and Kerry, then that's how it goes. Or Kerry could duck and run. If Kerry doesn't like CNN eliminating Sharp and Kucinich (both whom I really enjoy in debates) then he can agree to do more debates. Didn't Kerry say something like....bring it on?

5. If they are smart, they will stand up to CNN and tell them: |
|
"Include everyone or no debate!!"
Do they want our votes if one of them is the nominee or not? If they just want to slough the progressives off, fine, we know where we stand.

7. I'd be fine as long as they all had equal speaking time |
|
but that'll never happen with Kerry hogging the camera.

Kerry: 18 times to answer Kucinich: 8 times to answer, not even half.

11. If Edwards is smart, he'll play naive and say he's just |
|
abiding by the rules and show up.

Can you imagine the uproar here if Kerry called for the debates to exclude Kucinich and Sharpton?
woo-hoo.
So, we can just call him a coward instead.
