Ghouliani bumbling through a response to alien attack question: "We'll be prepared" (VIDEO)
What a fucking bozo!

Rudy Giuliani Will Be Prepared For Alien Attack

Sunday, during a town-hall meeting in Exeter, Giuliani assured a young questioner that preparedness will be key for all crises, including those from outer space.

"If (there's) something living on another planet and it's bad and it comes over here, what would you do?" a boy asked.

Giuliani, grinning, said it was his first question about an intergalactic attack.

"Of all the things that can happen in this world, we'll be prepared for that, yes we will. We'll be prepared for anything that happens," said Giuliani, who mayor during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

1. I found this on digby about the
new film released today by The FireFighters and their Reason for hating the ghoullllllllllll.

"Standing Their Ground

by digby

Brave New Films has released a powerful new film today about a subject that has the potential to knock Rudy Giuliani's campaign to its knees. Most of us know that the NY Firefighters are mad as hell at Giuliani, but this films starkly lays out one very serious reason why: the radios.

Giuliani came into office in 1994, shortly after the first WTC attack. He knew then that the radios didn't work properly and yet it took him seven years to deal with the problem. And when he finally got around to it, he gave Motorola a sweetheart, no-bid contract for radios that were never tested in advance. When the NYFD got them, they didn't work and they had to be reissued the same radios that had proved inadequate in 1993.

That's why, on September 11th, the firefighters didn't hear the warnings to get out of the buildings. The cops heard them. They mostly got out. Their radios could get the right frequency. The firefighters' old radios couldn't.

In perhaps the most chilling moment of the film, the audience gasps in horror as Giuliani unctuously testifies before congress that the dead firefighters were heroes for "standing their ground."

2. I suspect this kid has seen too many violent movie/video game commercials lately

featuring the planet earth being invaded by "something bad."

When I was that kid's age, I thought there were lions in the subway stations because of the Dreyfuss commercials. While my mother kept insisting there was no such thing as ghosts or spacemen, I couldn't understand why I would see commercials saying, "If you're an alien, please register at the nearest post office." And when my niece was that kid's age, she asked me if OJ Simpson was dead--she'd seen a commercial for the movie The Towering Inferno.

But seriously, folks, I know exactly what my reply would have been: "I would tell everybody on THIS planet that something bad was coming from ANOTHER planet, and we would all figure out how to get together and MAKE IT GO AWAY, because that's the way the GOOD planets work!"
