" electable" defined.
I've been thinking about this for a few days and I think I've stumbled across what people really mean when they say candidate X is "Electable".

As it refers to candidates for the democratic nomination for president in 2008,
The true definition of "electable" is "Probably not crazy".

Conversely "Not Electable" means "Too likely crazy"

So you can hang it on your candidate, but understand what your REALLY sayin'.

2. I'd define it differently.
"electable" = corrupt establishment candidate.

"unelectable" = not bought and owned by big money donors.

7. And to be able to get "enough votes" to be elected,
a candidate will have too close a relationship with big money and establishment power structures to come to office without strings attached.

Simple.

10. Don't be silly; it's very simple: "electable" means "MY candidate"
That should be pretty obvious from the blather 'round these parts...
