I just pledged the DNC $100, but Reid forces me take to it back
The DNC/Congressional Democrats called me this week and I pledged $100, and the pledge card will arrive in the mail shortly. However, Harry Reid ignoring Dodd's hold on the FISA bill leaves me with no other choice but to cancel that donation.
I am now writing a note to return with the pledge card explaining that due to the lack of support for Dodd, they have now forfeited my donation, and that $100 is now going to Dodd for exemplifying what I want in a Democrat.

Senator Harry Reid (D - NV)

2. Hey, I'll pledge 10 million dollars to the Democratic Party....
and will honor that pledge in the same way Nancy Pelosi honored her pledge of "no more blank checks for the Iraq War." Oooops, there went the 10 million! Sorry, Nancy and Harry, you spineless cowards.

7. What promise has the DNC not kept? It is not part of congress.
I think this is way out of line.

4. DNC is not supposed to criticize congressional Democrats right now
The DNC is the structural arm of the party. But I think you knew that.

6. Oh, great. DU being used again to withhold money from the 50 state strategy.
That is really a shame.

Dean is not supposed to criticize what Congress does...He is not part of congress.

I would post all the different committees but it would not matter.

8. I'll give to individual candidates
but the DNC is 'on probation' for this.

9. What did the DNC do? Please clarify. You are saying to NOT give to them.
That is what my state did when they got pouty and did not get their way.

If you try to hurt fundraising for the DNC you are hurting the salaries of the new political directors in all 50 states.

Why would you want to do that?

The DNC has nothing to do with Congressional actions.

10. I've been a Democracy Bond holder since Howard rolled them out
I support the Fifty State Strategy and nothing any individual Democrat does is going to change that.

11. Hit 'em where they live
I hope all that telecom money is enough to keep Reid going. Looks like he just lost a big chunk of PEOPLE'S donations.

12. Reid is in Congress....Dean and the DNC are NOT congress.
They are not even supposed to criticize the actions of congress.

So could you explain how taking money from the DNC headed by Dean hurts Harry Reid.

Reid did not want Dean to be chairman in the first place.

13. Yes, I see your point
But I meant the money that goes directly to Reid from individual donations.

This whole affair has got to hurt Reid.
