3. I gave it a thumbs up but I have noticed the AOL comments usually |
|
do not go in our favor. I don't go over there or on AOL usually, does anyone know why that is. Their members seem to lean more conservative to me. Is that right?

6. AOL is for people that do not know how to use a Computer |
|
So, they may indeed be more ignorant, hence more conservative.....

19. hey, that is me you are talking about |
|
I am on AOL because of the retiree discount I can get, and no one has ever called me conservative! I am known as the nutty liberal in the family. But with two kids still in college and a retired husband I will take any discount I can get. Maybe you believe the 'economy is doing great' but I don't.

8. I've noticed that tendency on AOL polls too |
|
Note the picture of Pete Stark they used in that poll. They deliberately picked a shot to portray him as 'stark'-raving mad. A pox on AOL!

13. Their polls tend to be skewed right wing. |
|
I don't know if it'd their user base or what, but I can see the same poll taken by Yahoo, for instance, and it will turn out quite differently.

12. The wording is stupid. |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-19-07 12:29 PM by CJCRANE
It should be "agree" or "disagree" not "thumbs up" or "thumbs down".
"Thumbs up" usually denotes cheerful or and enthusiastic agreement (which isn't appropriate in this case).
On edit: Done anyway, despite the wording.

15. AOL is very right wing-nutlery |
|
Before anyone accuses me of tin-foil-hattery or partisan blindness, here is another poll from that site, further down the page:
Poll Results Are you offended by James Watson's comments about blacks and intelligence? No 65% 7,971 Yes 35% 4,215
Now you know what you're dealing with.
