William769, that one Poster does know nasty when he/she writes it ... sorry, sees it.
And, yes, Farmer is gay and, yes, he did leave the Obama camp for the Clinton camp. Had he come over to the Edwards camp, you would have seen a much different response from Meows-A-Lot.

the Poster claimed it was "an exceptionally disgusting post" on many levels. Kind of says more about that Poster, perhaps, than intended, don't you think?

but, with the help of electroshock therapy, group discussions, copious amounts of medication, a fluffy bunny I've named Pink-a-loo and copious amounts of medication (buzzzzzzzzzzz), I've found my way back from the pain and utter anguish.
do I really need a :sarcasm: thingy-ma-bob?

So just by the fact that you posted it, the OP is automatically "exceptionally disgusting"?
Ya really gotta watch it, William -- telling the truth really seems to piss some people off. ;)

11. It isn't nasty to say someone is "gay" but to use a persons sexuality to make a negative political |
|
point is nasty. Why should it matter what Farmers preferences are? It is the context of the statement that bothers me. And as for whether it is true or not, I have no idea what Farmers orientation is. Why should I know that and what has it to do with how he does his job? Someone is implying it is either relevent to the position he held or is a reason for his departure. Either way that kind of speculation is just wrong.

17. Well, for one thing... |
|
...his sexuality becomes relevant if his departure was the result of his personal disgust with the gospel tour. We don't know that's why he left, but the idea that an openly gay man might have dumped Obama for Clinton over this debacle is more than reasonable speculation.
For another thing, if that is the real reason Farmer left (and we may never know), it throws yet another a monkey wrench in the specious argument that the only queers pissed off are on DU.

18. That kind of speculation is quite relevant in light of what's going on in the Obama campaign. |
|
Ultimately, it's his own business, and he may choose not to talk about it, but it's certainly interesting to consider, and far from being out of order.
