1. You forgot Rumsfeld and Cheney.
All little squares (very square) in the American quilt.

2. There was a time when those cross burners were Dems.
Which is why I will never describe myself as a Yellow Dog Democrat, having learned where the phrase originated.

4. Oh I know...
And some Democrats and Republicans ended up standing up to them, enough to pass the Civil Rights act. Did they accommodate those views? hell no, they did what was right.

8. Which is why LBJ said we'd lost the South for a generation
It's worth noting that one of the few Republicans who voted against the Civil Right's Act was GHWB.

5. If you are comparing these folks to McClurkin you are making a false comparison.
I'm not a defender of McClurkin, but this is a false argument.

6. How is it false, is he not hostile to Homosexuals existing?
Why yes he is. He's a hater, don't pretty up his image by trying to say he's not. Just because he isn't nearly as in your face as the Phelps clan, or as obvious as the KKK, doesn't mean that he is filled with less hatred.

7. McClosetCase is every bit the clown that Fred Phelps is
the only differences are that he doesn't picket funerals and he didn't just get his ass kicked for $9 million

16. Sadly, no
Nothing on this site surprises me anymore. The various cults of personality surrounding the Dem candidates on this site will go to any lengths up to and including endorsing hatred and bigotry in the name of "winning".

Because this is just a fucking football game to them.

21. That is something I don't understand...
These cults of personality are disturbing to me, I mean, if my candidate(DK) were to pander to bigots for votes, I'd drop him like a bad habit and call him a damned panderer to bigots. I don't see why I should be expected to give other supporters of other candidates lesser standards than I hold for myself.

15. I'm not surprised, I have yet to see any of them actually condemn the homophobia...
without reservations. Usually its along the lines of "McClurkin is an ass, but..." or even worse, they take the Obama route, and say "I disagree with his views, but..." as if his views were even valid in the first place.

20. It seems like their definition of "engaging" the homophobes is closer to the matrimonial...
definition. Seems fucked up to me.
