Colbert's brief "entry" into this race was the highlight of this lame election

Sorry, but this entire campaign season has SUCKED. It has been so dull. Unfortunately all the candidates (except maybe Edwards) have taken Hillary's lead and run a milquetoast "safe" campaign. Obama's entry initially caused a spark, but since then enthusiasm died down. Granted, part of it is due to the media basically anointing Hillary, but Obama's enthusiasm didn't go much beyond the fund raising. He too played it safe for the most part.

I have to admit, Howard Dean made the '04 primaries exciting and - I did not support him. Now it looks like the general election will suck even more with Hillary as the nominee.

2. With Hillary?
Even if she does win (and I'll say it would be nice to just see the repukes lose it all), a Hillary win doesn't inspire or excite me in any particular way. I'll vote for her, but there is no driving motivation to really keep up with the happenings of this election.

3. There is for me - supporting the dynamic Party I come to this site to support
We have a woman and a black man in serious contention for the White House. That in and of itself is just awesome. We have other really great candidates as well including the one I support - Kucinich

4. The problem isn't that the candidates aren't good
Both Obama and Edwards are good. I like Richardson as well.

But maybe it's the media's fault - but this thing has just felt like Hillary steamrolling over everyone else. To her credit, she's run a good campaign (pretty much perfect).

But her gender doesn't make a difference to me. I'm skeptical of her ability to win anyways. And even if she did, she isn't the kind of change we need from the status quo.

6. As I said above I'll still vote for her

but that doesn't mean, I'll be especially happy doing so.

As for the republicans, that are all truly repugnant. And many are just as bad if not worse than Bush. I viscerally loathe Romney. Giulliani strikes me as a lunatic. And the rest just disgust me in various ways.

9. It's like comedian George Carlin says...
...When it comes to our fraudulent "elections;" instead of voting he stays home and jerks off. The difference being is that when he's finished, he'll actually have something to show for it. lol

Yes, our country is in peril. And no, voting isn't going to save it.

10. Jesus Christ! It's barely even started yet!

Remember elections from long ago - like 2000? They didn't even start campaigning at all until around October! There's still a year to go!
