3. It really is a keeper.
Finally someone captured the very man that inspires those of us who wish to elect him. This is the person who I think could change the country, not only back to where we were pre SCOTUS fuck up, but closer to what we say we are.

7. K&R! Great article! No other candidate even comes close to Dennis.
It is so frustrating when he is just dismissed out-of-hand by people who haven't even bothered to look at him. I feel very good about his campaign - I am not sure why, but it is a very strong feeling.

10. Gotta love the "balls" quote:
Edited on Fri Nov-02-07 10:04 AM by Seabiscuit
The author describes DK as "a sixty-one-year-old vegan peacemonger, poor beyond corruption and honest as spit, hauling balls big enough to both choke Dick Cheney and keep a smile like a woozy kitten's on the love-lit face of a twenty-nine-year-old heartthrob wife...."

A definite K&R!

15. "This is the color you get when you mix red, white, and blue,"
Dennis Kucinich's home has no number anywhere to indicate its address -- a leftover precaution from his days as mayor, when he had the $25,000 bull's-eye on his back -- but you can't miss it: It's the only house on its lower-middle-class West Side street painted a strange shade of blue -- cornflower? Periwinkle?

"This is the color you get when you mix red, white, and blue," Kucinich explains. "We were painting it on 9/11. We're painting it again."

Elizabeth calls down from upstairs, "We're going to paint it white."

One of my favorite parts of this article......and if this guy doesn't become the next president of the united states.....then by gawd there is something wrong, real wrong with this country. :patriot: :patriot: :patriot: http://www.esquire.com/features/kucinich1107

17. Sorry, but Da Kooch jumped the shark when he married that woman -
Edited on Sat Nov-03-07 12:17 AM by smalll
as the result of a gimmicky public-relations Dating Game in '04? As a result of that, he happens to marry a woman way too young, way too tall, (and way too hot) to be his wife (who is also way too much of a foreign non-citizen and way too much of a tongue-stud-wearer to be a plausible First Lady of the United States?)
Come on people, sharks were jumped. Open your eyes.

Some people sell out for money. Da Kooch, being slightly cooler than most, cashed in his integrity chips for celebrity (UFOs on Shirley Mac's deck, etc.) and for sex.

18. I failed to see where a shark was jumped.
What does marrying very well have to do with his integrity. Dennis Kucinich has the highest integrity factor of any candidate in this race.

And why is everybody making a big deal about Elizabeth? She's has brains, beauty and she's done something with it...everybody acts like that's a bad thing.

And she ended up with Dennis. Just further proof that sometimes the good guys finish first.

Hater-ade is not thrist-aid. Stop drinking it. ;)

19. Well, fair enough, fair enough - after the (ultimately ineffective) beating my candidate's...
taken this week, I'm feeling a little ornery! Just be glad I didn't write the scorched-earth denunciation of Edwards OP I have in me right now! :)

22. I think you just jumped the shark with that comment.
I was not aware that women were not marriage material if their height doesn't meet certain regulations, or if they are too "hot."

The implication in your post is that women who naturally look a certain way should be treated a certain way and are only good for certain things - marriage not being one of them, at least not marriage to certain classes of people. That's an ugly sentiment.

You sound more like you are judging cattle at a fair than describing a woman.

20. I looked at the link and decided not to read the article.

https://subscribe.hearstmags.com/circulation/shared/ads/esq/esq_160x350_$250_sw02.gif

etc.

When the candidates use these venues to promote themselves, I'm not impressed. I'm even a kucinich supporter. Still not buying anything he's selling through that site though.

21. That's an incredible article.
Worth all seven pages, in my opinion.

Reality, and the real man, presented with appreciation and support.
