Seeing as how it's unlikely that Joe Biden will get the nomination unless one of the top tier fall off the face of the earth...I can't lie that he's grown on me lately (especially in the last debate). I think Biden is the most clear and straight forward Dem amoung all the 2nd tier candidates (outside of Kucinich...but he isn't going to sniff the Oval Office). I think Biden, more than Richardson, would make a very strong VP nominee. Biden has the ability to hit back at people...something I haven't seen Richardson do yet. And we're going to need that when the GE election comes and the Rethugs are throwing everything they've got at us.

Obama needs more experience - and a voting record - in the Senate before he's ready for the WhiteHouse.

8. Biden/Richardson would be an unstopable team |
|
I really think so. I could live with a Biden/Obama ticket, but I agree that Obama needs more experience, especially on foreign policy.

4. I was thinking that being Joe's VP would be the perfect place for Obama. |
|
And here's why -
Let Biden with his vast foreign relations experience and knowledge get things back on track throughout the world. I really believe Biden will be able to restore America's standing in the world and face it, because of his tenure he has more credibility and experience than Obama with world leaders. Obama can gain hands on experience while being in the WH, Biden will give him the opportunity to make alot of contacts, and take on alot of major projects.
Then when Biden retires, there will be no stopping Obama. He will be experienced, seasoned, and will have had the opportunity to prove to the world how capable he is.
That's my plan anyway!

19. I think Obama has a great political future |
|
I can see him as the VP, but there's a part of me that thinks he should stick out another six years in the senate and show what he can do. Making a place for yourself in the senate takes a lot of work and ingenuity. It is a great opportunity to prove oneself. He is an intelligent and promising person, but to my mind, he has not proven himself as yet and this is no time to take a gamble.

who's always going to be having to ask his or her vice-president what to do.

13. It's my personal opinion. I don't have to back it up, just like you |
|
don't have to back up your opinion that Obama as president would be turning to Biden for advice at every step.

14. Obama has done a great job of adopting Biden's original ideas so far |

Sounds like Biden/Obama is more practical.... whether it is about Pakistan, Violence against women, or a number of other matters... Look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjzaCrjY448

17. I didn't say you had to. I asked if you'd care to. You obviously can't. |
|
I base my opinion on Biden's 35 years in the Senate, and his extensive work on the Foreign Relations Committee. He just knows a lot more about how the federal government works and about world affairs than Obama. You can disagree, but few people reading this will believe you, much less agree with you. To suggest that Biden would always feel the need to turn to Obama for advice on what to do just shows an unwillingness to be honest with us or yourself in order to reflect positive on every angle of the candidate you're supporting. You're not fooling anyone and it doesn't help your candidate. Obama has a lot of great qualities, but that doesn't mean he's perfect in all respects. All the candidates, including Biden, have weaknesses. It serves nothing to pretend otherwise.
