20. Is that wrong?
For a person to want to be inspired by a candidate?

24. Why not? There's better
retorts than rolling your eyes when someone would like to be INSPIRED by a candidate.

Dennis Kucinich inspires me.

2. Funny - Obama inspired me, and I am a die-hard Biden supporter. Edwards on the other hand -
didn't do a thing for me.

3. Same.
I'm sorry, but he just comes off as very very boring. He does not inspire.

27. my husband just watched him on MTP and said the same thing
"I think he is boring. What is all the fuss about?"

I said, "What do you mean by boring?

He answered, "Listen to him! He drones on an on... I'm struggling to pay close attention."

Take it for what's it's worth - this in reaction to today's MTP interview.

I'm the one in house that pays closer attention to politics.

What happened to the Obama of 2004? He lost his spark.

5. Is the video of Obama's speech posted here anywhere?
It would be hard to top Edwards. I thought he was outstanding.

14. Thanks, I found it.
I think after listening and watching the two, I still feel more comfortable with Edwards. I can't get past this feeling that Obama is too "polished," like he's acting ... saying all the right things with all the right inflections, but there's kind of a Messianic air in there that makes me feel a little uneasy. "I will do this, I will do that," and then "I will lead the world" -- Yikes! A little humility would be nice.

6. Edwards put me to sleep. I'd rather watch a documentary on the demise of the grain crop in China
than listen to his string cheese rhetoric.

I love how when someone agrees with you , you're all for them, if not, they can't have an opinion. Sounds like Freeperville.

25. Your posting history. You said Edwards was the only
one you'd vote for in the general election.

So, you're really not fooling anyone with this.

If you had at least some modicum of objectivity, your opinion might actually be worth something.

28. His delivery was too halting
I didn't care for the numerous pauses. His overall message didn't seem cohesive. And, though, I've lost any inclination to vote for Obama, I've usually found him to be an excellent speaker. This speech wasn't one of his best.
