Am I the only one who thought Kucinich KICKED ASS tonight? I also thought Biden did well because he |
|
is clearly enjoying himself more than anyone else on the stage.
I don't think Biden's joy in the process would make him a good president, and I think one reason he is enjoying himself is because the heat is off him because he's not in the top tier, but - still - he's enjoying himself and it shows and he deserves credit for a good performance tonight.
I give ...
Kucinich an A+
Biden an A-
Edwards a B
Hillary a B
Obama a B-
Richardson and Dodd a "pass" because they were unfairly denied equal time (and didn't make as much of their limited time as Kucinich did)

Guy didn't waffle and ran on his record.
Held everyone elses feet to the fire. They deserved every bit of it.

...and keeps getting elected. People who dismiss him should look at his record.
DK has stood for his constituency throughout his career. Not many politicos can say as much.

9. You think Hillary did well? |
|
She was terrible. She's using the same "lets compromize with the crazies from the other side" that Bill Clinton did. So did Joe Biden as well.
That strategy makes us look freakin weak!!!!
Have you any idea how much that crap cost this party seats in nineties?
People see that as freaking DEFERING to the right wing. It's like saying we have to ask them permission to do anything. And they eat that crap up when we take a stand on an issue. They start calling us "obstructionists", "Dividers" and looking to "destroy the bipartisan mood in Washington holding up progress".
That crap sets us back.
Someone needs to tell those two to knock that crap off quick!!!!

I'm not saying I don't think she did well, I'm just wondering where you got that from. Kucinich did TERRIBLE though.

"Just imagine what it would be like to have a President who was right the first time." -DK
The best line of the debate.
Kucinich is the ONLY candidate who has a voting record that matches his rhetoric.
The rest of them, especially Hillary, have records that show they do nothing but blow hot air and pay lip service to their stated positions.

and I still thought he did great. I agree.
And I think he had a right to be angry after the crap he got from NBC in the last debate and the way Leslie kept trying to cut him off tonight.
Dennis always does great in my opinion. Yes A+.
Hillary did much better than you've got there. She was an 'A'. Better than Biden, who I agree was an A-. And better than John Edwards, who was a respectable B as you say, maybe even a B+. Obama was as you say a B-
I agree with most of your ratings except on Hillary, who I think pretty obviously did very well.

Imagine what he could do with equal talk time.

20. Well, yes...he is disappointing that he can't get impeachment to happen! |
|
Impeachment is called for but Kucinich doesn't have the Washington skills to get others to go along. Likely, he should have made the case for illegal behaviors more public before calling for an impeachment hearing. For whatever reasons, the rest of Congress and the general public, outside of DUer's, don't get excited about impeachment. DK is all emotion and not enough logic. Waxman is a good lawyer and too slow.
I wrote Pelosi, and I want shrub and his sidekick in jail, but I have the feeling that if Hillary or Obama or Edwards called for impeachment, they would be more likely to get serious consideration because they balance rhetoric with political thinking that gets support from the Congress and "uninformed" public. I even think Randi Rhodes makes a better case than DK.
I like Kucinich's positions best, but objectively, he isn't the winner to most of the public. He'd be a better advisor (the Democratic version of Karl Rove) and much better to create policy than Dean. He doesn't seem like the president to me.
