Could Obama's early heckler be from Clinton's Campaign
Did anyone besides me find it a little too convenient that Obama was heckled early at the top of the debate. It clearly hurt his performance at the beginning. It kind of sucked the fire out of his early response. It seemed a little too helpful to Clinton.

Also it was amazing to hear Obama and Edwards booed for criticizing Clinton, but she wasn't booed for doing the same thing toward them.

Just a thought. I would like to no what everyone thinks.

1. She was responding to their criticism
and no it didn't come from plants, she's popular in NV and outside of DU, Democrats don't like candidates referring to other Democrats as republicans.

2. Yes, Hillary had her stooges in the audience
I must admit I have to give her props. She can play dirty as the best of them.

4. I think that because of what has happened the past two weeks
Clinton came across not as criticizing them, but as defending herself. Whereas, Edwards and Obama came out swinging as if they were going to get another service of Clinton on a silver platter--Russert style. But, they did not get the same free pass as last time, and they faltered.

People keep saying that Clinton stacked the audience. I don't know if she had that much power over the debate. I don't know what the rules were--if they could reserve a certain number of seats, or if CNN was the one who seated the audience.

Heckler: I heard one yelling when Clinton was trying to talk, but I did not hear what he was saying.

9. Like when she said Obama was 'raising taxes for the middle class'?
How was she defending herself at that point? Please enlighten.

11. I think there is a difference between point out policy issues
...like raising taxes or belief on the social security issues and calling someone a liar, disingenuous, untruthful. Mud slinging versus policy differences.

14. Clinton saying that Obama wanted to raise taxes on the
middle class makes her a liar, disingenuous, and untruthful. Does he not have a right to defend himself from slander?

18. no it does not--have your read his proposal?
I understand that it is easier to call names and to slam others, I suggest instead you read what they are talking. Then you can tell me where she was wrong.

6. It's just as likely that the Obama and Edwards Campaigns
Edited on Fri Nov-16-07 09:32 AM by TheDebbieDee
or maybe even some repuke group paid someone to boo their respective candidates to get the sympathy of the debate viewers while casting suspicions on the Clinton Campaign (the front runner that didn't get booed).

BTW, I'm leaning toward casting my primary vote for Edwards but I'll cast my Presidential vote for whichever Democratic Candidate gets the nom.

everything that has ever transpired that is even moderately
beneficial to hillary must the product of some Team Clinton
machination. and the fact that no one seems to know about
it proves that there is also a cover up. :eyes:

give it up. that is an attitude that leads to nothing but
guaranteed defeat for the possessors of that point of view.
"every time I lose, it's because someone cheated". jeeez.

I will observe that the heckler threw obama off his game on
that one question.

22. The debate reminded me of the Michael Moore speech at the Oscars
The boos came soon and in an inorganic way, like they were anticipating booing--if that makes any sense. The boos at the debate definitely came from Clinton supporters. It doesn't mean she was involved. If her campaign planted those people, it was a genius strategy. It was just as effective as all those republicans who protested the vote counting in Florida in 2000. It gives the impression that booing is the popular opinion and then it becomes the popular opinion.

Whatever, the case, last night was disgusting. It was the first time I've really felt hopeless for my country.

Come on, why is it always Clinton's fault?

Could have been someone supporting Biden, Dodd, Edwards, Kucinich, Richardson, or even Gravel.

Goodness!
