Poll question: Gender Loaded Poll Opportunity: Vote for the Video that Women Would Like
You'll have to do a little homework to complete this poll. Look at the following videos, and decide which one would BEST APPEAL TO WOMEN VOTERS. If you don't like the choices, you can always reply and nominate your own favorites! Since I'm not female, I may have picked the wrong ones (sorry). Watch first and then come back to vote. No cheating! Honestly, there's nothing on the repuk's websites!! I tried...
All except Randi are in the Research Forum under Presential Candidates; find the video from the poll titles. Since they are constantly updating, you simply have to hunt in the candidate's VIDEO SELECTIONS! Some of the links to the videos are pretty long and don't fit in the choice windows.

If you represent a typical woman, that is great! Otherwise, try to image which video would be the FAVORITE FOR WOMEN VOTERS.
I threw in Randi Rhodes. If you haven't seen that one, you should anyway.

Biden: "UAWA"
Hillary: "Launching Hillbusters"
Dodd: "Amazing Grace"
Edwards: "Cate Edwards & Kate Michelman - Women's Forum"
Kucinish: "Elizabeth tours the Southwest"
Obama: "Michelle's Story"
Richardson: "New Mexico Women for Richardson"
Randi Rhodes: "We believe"
Rudi: "Women like Rudi, too" Maureen Mahoney (way down the list)
Mit: "Ann's MS Story"

1. Why would I do homework that involves
searching out commercials, when I avoid media, and have done my best not to pay attention to commercials for many years?

I'd rather decide who has the best record, the best platform, and the most consistent walk.

2. Interesting!
The reality is that you aren't the majority of voters. Except for stealing elections, the videos that you see are exactly what appears to influence the most number of eligible, critical, fence-sitting votes? Why not learn about the real process?

3. It's very true that I'm not the majority.
Half of me sees your point. The other half resists legitimizing the use of propaganda sound bites over real in-depth look at issues and record.

I'd like voters to judge candidates on their platforms and their records, not on the misleading picture that media soundbites dish up.

It's kind of a chicken/egg dilemma.

4. Some of the videos are pretty long, not just sound bites...
Even though the candidates chose to put them on the web sites, many were not advertisements...Randi's is 30 minutes.
