Rudy will appoint far right judges/justices
Edited on Mon Nov-19-07 09:37 AM by Hawaii Hiker
Rudy Giuliani is a far right guy who masks himself as this moderate...Bullshit!, anyone who favors justices like Scalia, Thomas, & Ailito is NOT a moderate, plain & simple....At the end of the day, Rudy is really no different than Romney or Huckabee....The ONLY difference between Giuliani & the other two is RHETORIC, Rudy is not as outspoken on social issues as the aforementioned...

I've pontificated on this topic previously, but anyone who thinks of staying home next November becuase you don't like the Democratic nominee - PLEASE, PLEASE think of the Supreme Court & hold your nose & vote if you have to...We can't afford a Republican making the next appointment(s) to the Supreme Court, as well as appointments to lower courts....

"When Giuliani mentioned "originalism," he cited Scalia and Thomas as judges who follow that approach. He also included Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. as the kind of judges he would choose if he were president".

1. But we will still be subjected to the CLinton=Giuliani lie in 2008, just like we were subjected
to the Gore=Bush lie in 2000. That is, IF she is nominated (I am hoping she isn't). I couldn't live with myself if I didn't do everything I could to prevent a Republican win in '08.

3. Why single Giuliani out? EACH of the potential Repub nominees would nominate a stream of douchebags
to spoil the third branch of government.

Who thinks of Giuliani as a moderate? Giuliani is nothing more than the mirror image of Huckabee; Leaving aside Paul (who isn't a Repub notwithstanding the "R" by his name), Huckabee is the most moderate on fiscal and foreign policy issues and also the most socially reactionary candidate where Giuliani is the most reactionary on fiscal and foreign policy issues and also the most socially moderate candidate.

Neither Giuliani nor Huckabee is a moderate. They are both extremists on at least half of the Repub platform; don't mistake the fact that Giuliani and Huckabee have pissed off the far right by varying from party orthodoxy on a few issues cloud the fact that they have only succeeded in the race by making up for that lack of orthodoxy on a couple of issues by extremism on the rest of their platform.
