Blue Bluegrass 2008? Clinton Leads Each Republican in Presidential Head-to-Heads
A month after Democrat Steve Beshear captured the Kentucky statehouse, Hillary Clinton today holds leads — albeit statistically insignificant ones in some cases — in head-to-head presidential matchups against Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and John McCain.

Meantime, Barack Obama, who has shown greater strength this month in some states, trails Giuliani by 14 , Romney by 1, and McCain by 22; Obama leads Huckabee by 2.

Full results, crosstabs, and tracking graphs here; research conducted for WHAS-TV in Louisville and WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.

2. Not to be picky or anything, but Beshear won the governorship
not the "statehouse" and the election was 3 weeks ago, not a month. His victory was rooted firmly in the dislike of Fletcher. Not sure how this bodes for the Presidential election here.

Clinton won it in 92 and 96...Gore and Kerry lost it by fourteen and sixteen points respectively.

4. But Bill is a MAN and Hillary isn't
She would have to carry the urban areas heavily, which isn't impossible.
The Kentucky primary is in May and most here feel it will be a "done deal" well before that.
