I don't feel passionate about any of the Democratic candidates. |
|
Doesn't mean I won't vote for the Dem primary winner, cause I definitely will. But it's kind of sad to not have much emotion or energy to contribute, other than voting and contributing what I can.
If Gore, Clark or Feingold were running I'd be on fire.
Oh, well, :(

1. Do you think your lack of passion is because of the candidates? |
|
Or the way things have been over the past 8 years.
I've found myself to be quite disillusioned by the political process and doubt I'll ever be passionate about any candidate ever again.

11. If any of the three I mentioned were running, I'd be on fire. |
|
Certainly the last 8 horrible years have burned me out, but it's more than that. I might change and get more excited after the primary. I'm hoping that's the case anyway.

2. If Boxer were running. |
|
THEN I'd be on fire.
As is I'll vote for Kucinich in the primary, and be happy enough with any of them.

4. I have become passionate about Edwards |
|
I feel he is in the same genre as those mentioned. However thanks to the MSM Edwards has been effectively muzzled and little is heard of his campaign. Fox is picking our candidate for us by giving them airtime.

5. You know, they're not that bad though... |
|
I mean when you really get down to it and stack any of them against Bush. Hell, against Bush some of the republicans don't even look bad. I feel good about this crowd (Though I still dream of Clark as VP, I gotta say)

7. It doesn't come along every time |
|
I'm finding something close to passion for Obama. I don't say it's what I felt in 2004, which was the most passion I've ever felt for a candidate, it's not like that, but it's coming a little bit nearer all the time.

12. I hope I can get to where you're at WesDem. |
|
Clark would have made such a great president. And now it's becoming increasingly apparent that Gore won't run.
I do like Obama and Edwards. If either of them wins the primary, I could get pumped again.

15. Exactly the same for me |
|
I had my guy, and I had back up plans (the exact same as yours), but none of them are running and I don't feel passionate about any of the ones who are. I can't get into the spirit of fighting for one Democrat who has some good and bad things to be said of him or her, over a different Democrat who has some good and bad things to be said of him or her also.
I do however still feel passionate about the need for a Democrat to become President in 2008. I may well not feel passionate again until after our nominee is selected.

16. Dean was the last one I felt passionate about |
|
I'm passionate about what Kucinich stands for and does, but that is diluted by the fact that he doesn't realistcally stand a chance.
When Dean was running at his full-tilt-boogie, I thought he could be the ideal candidate to bring together the different factions of Democrats with a positive and progressive mainstream agenda.
Alas the Beltway Elite and the Media shot that down.
But that's what I believe we need now. Someone who could straddle the divisions among Democrats without selling out.

17. I'm not exactly passionate about any of them... |
|
...but I'm reasonably pleased with all of them. Especially compared to Bush or any of the current Republican candidates, I'll be quite happy (and massively relieved) to see any of our Democrats in the White House.

Good v Evil pretty much sums it up.
I would just like to feel more energized about it all.
