I think we all need to pay closer attention to Huckabee |
|
He's dangerous. He has a human quality that is unusual among republicans.
He's crazier than a bed bug not beliving in evolution but this is America. Most people are morons and would find that kind of thinking represents their values.
Like I said, he's dangerous.

1. Right wing radio does not like him.... |
|
Heard the rants today myself...
He's supposedly bad on taxes, immigration, blah, blah, blah...
Human like qualities aren't that appealing to "real" conservatives. Jerks that they are.

3. did you watch the debate last night? |

It's not saying much, but he was the most human of the bunch. He had the nice guy act down cold.

9. I watched a recap on the abortion and Bible stuff on CNN tonight...I agree with you about Huckabee.. |
|
in that of all those reptiles...there was a bit more "light of humanity" shining from his eyes than the rest of that crowd. But, remember that's how Falwell, Roberts and the rest suck folks in. They always seem so "honest" and they look into your eyes and you want to believe they are so sincere in what they believe.
I know this sounds like hyperbole...or melodramatics...but looking at that line up and hearing their views on Death Penality, Abortion, Religion...they were a very frightening bunch. I can't see Mitt Romney or Giuliani on "Evangelical TEE VEE" raking in the dollars while talking about Jesus and Faith...but I could see "something" from Huckabee...in his eys. It was the smile on his mouth that turned me off. It wasn't quite a Bush Smirk...but the smile was different from the eyes and it came up as not authentic in the brain wires from "mouth, eyes, speak."
They all were bizarre...and Fred Thompson? James Carville's Wife and Cheney's Daughter are pushing that guy? :eyes: St. Ronnie was the best thing the Repugs could dredge up since Eisenhower. No wonder they loved him. He was clean, nice dresser, spoke sincerely, had some charisma from his acting career and didn't come off as crazy unless you really got into the nitty gritty of his policies and knew who his handlers were. That said...St. Ronnie was a better person that the evil ones that were on that podium for that debate. IMHO and I am NO FAN OF "De-Regulation/I Ended the Cold War, St. Ronnie" but he just didn't come across as emitting evil vibes like this crowd does.
my 2cents.

5. "He has a human quality..." LOL |

Well, that really is dangerous ~ I mean it. I posted somewhere else that I think many people will find him a comforting daddy figure. He's the one to watch imo.

7. I'm not worried about him |

Most Republicans disagree with him on immigration and that, supposedly, is one of the HOT issues for them.

the Repub corporate money machine during the primaries. Someone like Romney or Giuliani can be defeated...if Huckabee gets the nomination, I see little to no chance out the Dem candidate, whoever she or he might, be of winning the White House next yet. And yes I know about his nutty religious stances and the corruption problems in Arkansas (I lived there when he was gov.). I tell you right now...that won't matter a damn bit. People will ignore that if Huckabee provides a message of hope *cough* and acts "aww shucks" enough.
All we can do is hope and pray to whatever deity you believe in that the Huckster isn't the nominee. I'm trying to think of a candidate (a practical one) that could go head to head against him and win, and I'm coming up empty. Maybe he'll go apeshit on the campaign trail and screw himself up, but I seriously doubt it will happen.
If you can't tell I'm extremely worried.
