Buchanan and others call on Biden to hold hearings NOW |
|
OK, I'm going on a report from the Morning Blow - and this partisan hack just spent 15 minutes gushing praise on the wacko in the White House. But according to reports, Pat Buchanan and some politicians on "the Hill" are calling on Joe Biden to come back immediately from campaigning and start hearings on the Bush Intel/Iran mess. I can't find anything on this to link to. Anyone else heard this?

on Morning Joe. He indeed called for Senator Biden to come back to DC, and subpoena Rice, Hadley and others. I have a related post/thread on DU:GD.

3. mois too. Even in his high pitched whine, he made sense on that |
|
It would be great if Biden did that.
I don't see anything happening in the house. Not with Pelosi preventing any such actions.

5. I'm posting a link to your thread on Buchanan's comments.. |
|
Excellent summary, BTW. I missed Buchanan, unfortunately, only tuned in to hear Scumbro praising Bush and then the reference to Biden. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=2407457&mesg_id=2407457

7. If he did this, he could get so much press time from this... |
|
he wouldn't need to campaign...not that he should do it for that reason alone, because it needs to be done. I just wonder where Nancy is in all of this...she seems to stifle any action against Bush & co, and I have no clue as to why.

9. Forget Iran. I still can't get over the fact that I |
|
am enjoying watching Pat Buchanan on TV. And agreeing with him. He was on Dan Abrams' show last night and he was going OFF on Bushco.

this still makes me nervous http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3794165Why would Cong. Hastings resign from the intelligence commitee? Something is going on in the background.

the rationale for an attack on Iran seemed to shift (primarily) from the threat of them developing nuclear weapons to them supporting militants that attack US forces. (A theme that's found its way into many "reports" from Iraq.)
While I seem to remember a narrative that this change in approach was related to the nuclear-storyline not "selling", I'm guessing it was related to the NIE -- and the inability of the administration to force the intelligence agencies to provide the desired results. (I seem to remember reports the NIE was sent back to the agencies for "correction".)
