responsibility for their decision. They cannot say, "I'm NOT for it now, because you're NOT for it now."

"...Now they are saying I'm so surprised that we are getting defective products..."

From the video
http://www.american-reporter.com/3,308/1.html

One candidate in the NPR debate said that HIS kids will not be getting any toys made in China.

I heard that almost 80% of toys are manufactured in China, although I've not looked for confirmation and it does not matter if that number is cut in half, if your child is one of those who are harmed...or your pet :(

Corporations pushed hard for that bill, it was a very close vote in the House and several amendments were defeated so that the bill need not be tested again in the House.

Not to mention the jobs lost and our increased deficit with China.

Only one Democratic candidate voted no on the bill :)

Wellstone Leads Fight Against Quick China PNTR Vote in Senate

"...It ought not be treated lightly. There are a whole set of issues dealing with human rights and environmental and labor standards..."

"...Unions warn that the pact could cost hundreds of thousands of American workers their jobs as Chinese goods flood the U.S. market and companies move their factories to China to take advantage of lower wages.

"I believe that we will deeply regret this stampede to pass this legislation and the way in which we have taken all the human rights, religious freedom, right to organize, all of those concerns and we just put them in parenthesis, put them in brackets, as if they don't exist," said Sen. Paul Wellstone, D-Minnesota. Other opponents worried that the U.S. would be unable to influence Beijing over human rights concerns without a yearly vote on trade..."
