7. When making your selection for a presidential candidate, what are you looking for most in the candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology? (Democrats Only)
Ideology 32%
Charisma 28%
Experience 25%
Undecided 15%

Oh, and Obama is leading by 7% in this poll...well outside the MOE :-)

3. They need to use the term Judgment because that isn't really covered by any of the other options.

5. There was another poll that shocked me the other day!
During the Situation Room the other day, Jack Cafferty referred to a poll that "80% of Iowa Repubs believe Shrub is a successful President and stull support him and his policies!"

Dear God! I knew Iowa was considered a red State, but 80%????? The hell with "What happened to Kansas", what the hell is wrong with Iowa?????

7. Remember that's 80% of REPUBLICANS
That too republicans that will participate in their caucus. That's probably fairly accurate. You're talking about the 24-29%ers here. The true believers.

They aren't abandoning Bush.

Iowa is firmly a battleground state and I have no doubt that Bush's overall approval rating in the state is any higher than his national approval of around 28%%.

10. Are there really only 29% of Iowans Pubs? I hope you're right!
I just always remembered Iowa going to the pubs in past Prez elections and when he said 80% completely supported Shrub, I was shocked! I honestly didn't believe Shrub maintained 80% of anything except detest by the Dems!

6. So you're grouping "ideology" and "charisma" together
...and contrasting them with "experience?"

Why?

To my simple mind, "ideology, "charisma," and "experience" are three different things, each of which garners between 25% and 32% of people saying they value it most.

11. When charisma rates higher than experience
it explains how we ended up with Bush and why Onbama is now ahead in Iowa.

12. I really wouldn't go down the "ideology" road vis-a-vis Obama.
Edited on Thu Dec-06-07 02:26 AM by Harvey Korman
Unless you want to discuss how his ideology really consists of elaborate branding to disguise his bland policy ideas as vehicles of Change (TM).
