Sally Quinn's remark about Mitt's speech nailed it completely...
Edited on Thu Dec-06-07 11:21 AM by Fridays Child
"I have to say that I'm really stunned because I think it was an obliteration of the idea of the separation church and state. He eliminated anybody who was a doubter, an atheist, an agnostic, a seeker. It was like, if you believe in God and Christ, you're on my side. If not, you're not."

This comment was, by the way, summarily ignored by Mitt's drooling sycophants, Tweety, Pat, and Joe.

1. Yes, but that will help him with his target audience--the GOP primary voters.

5. That's why he blew it when he praised Muslims for how many times they pray every day.
Throwing non-believers under the bus isn't enough for the fundies. Islam is just as much the enemy in their eyes as is secularism.

3. And then Matthews cut her off but quick - and we never heard from her again
Don't contradict Matthews - especially when he's in the throes of ecstasy over one of his political love muffins!

He turned the spigot off but quick, didn't he?

10. whatever - Mitt will say ANYTHING to get elected
it's really absurd right now how much a shill he is. All politicians are to a certain extent, but he's like the Barry Bonds of shills.

11. He truly is the political personification of a plastic Ken doll.
He even has a plastic Barbie wife. The boundary between reality and fantasy just gets blurrier and blurrier. I only hope that America will wake up and shake the cobwebs out of her head before it's too late.

12. Yes, kudos to Sally Quinn. Thankfully, this separates our party from the "religious" party.

I don't think this is the kind of test some in their party would approve.

who changes whenever the wind blows. At the debates he almost jumps from behind the podium saying pick me!Pick me! as though the more he talks more the brain dumb will believe him. Look at the company he keeps Quaker Oats lady was there to cheer him on.

14. Sally Quinn appears once every four years and people put
weight into her words. Dumped from cbs. married ben bradlee of washington post/watergate fame and every four years they dust her off and ask for her views.

15. The M$M this morning
has been repeating his remarks about the Constitution forbidding a religious test. That won't win him any points with the Religious Right. Hey Mitt! You can't have it both ways!
